Gerard A. De Souza is a Managing Director at Distinct Capital Partners an independent investment bank that provides value-added mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance advisory services both in Canada and internationally. Prior to this, Gerard has been an executive finance business partner, most recently with Finastra, a global finance software firm. He also spent over 15 years in the Telecom sector where he held progressively more senior finance roles at Nortel, Rogers and MTS Allstream.
Gerard has been an FEI member since 2017 and is on the Board of Directors for the Southern Golden Horseshoe (SGH) chapter and is also an active member of the SGH Program committee.
Gerard is passionate about customer and product profitability and is a volunteer member of the Profitability Accounting Center of Excellence committee and the FP&A Trends group. He would like to provide his insight and experience in this area and others to the Private Companies Committee.
