Tom has over 35 years of experience in executive financial management roles of private and public companies. He recently concluded his role as CFO at Allnorth (a consulting, multidisciplinary engineering and construction services firm). Tom’s prior positions include CFO at Canfor (a large North American manufacturer of forest products), CFO of Gryphon Gold Corporation (a junior gold explorer and mine developer, where he led an IPO in the U.S.) and Treasurer and VP Finance of Weldwood (a manufacturer forest products, including pulp, lumber, plywood and OSB.)
Tom has been a member of FEI Canada since 1986 and served on the Vancouver Chapter Board for several years.
For the past 6 years Tom has served on the Advisory Board of a family-owned B.C. based forest products company where he is providing advice on financial and private company ownership matters to both the owners and the management team.
Tom is keen to offer his knowledge and past experiences to younger CFOs seeking advice on broad range of financial matters facing private companies.
