Your Private Company Finance Thought Leadership Committee is made up of fellow FEI private company CFO’s who are a resource for private company members seeking guidance on their questions pertaining to financing the various aspects of growing a private company and to help you identify and access sources of capital available to private companies beyond your traditional bank, including asset based lenders, growth capital / subordinated debt, and private equity.
OUR GOALS
FEI Canada’s Private Companies Committee is made up of fellow FEI members who work in the private sector and who are predominantly private company CFOs.
Most of us are not experts in securing financing and we certainly don’t have all the answers when it comes to managing our financial stakeholder relationships.
But we’ve spent most of our careers working in the entrepreneurial environment and, as an FEI Canada community, we have a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience in dealing with private company financing.
Does your organization need financing to grow, to preserve liquidity or to enable ownership transition?
Key points to consider when seeking financing are:
Basic (Financial Reporting and Planning)
Do you know what part of your business is generating and consuming cash?
Intermediate (Corporate Finance Tools and Concepts)
Do you know how much financing you will need, when and how long you will need it and your ability to meet all debt servicing obligations?
Advanced (Corporate Finance – sourcing, presentation, selection, finalization, relationships)
Which financing partner should you communicate with?
What about your current banking relationship?
But this is only the starting point for you to reach out to us and have a one-to-one call. Find a Private Companies Committee member by scrolling through your FEI Private Companies Committee members bio’s.
Every “reach-out” call is within the “safe haven” that is FEI Canada and will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
